Knights are awesome! We tried to give this film a specific look referring to the older films where big and hard lights where used in daytime, as they did in ben-hur and patton. We wanted to have big contrasts but also wanted to see the expression of the faces covered by the helmets. together with colorist joppo we gave the material a bit more of a painterly Frans hals look. directed by Bart Timmer, this was one of the Best experiences of 2020.
